by Dex Anderson, INDEPENDENT candidate
for
Arcata City Council

Web facilitator's note: Dex has some things to say regarding the latest bias spewing forth from the Arcata Eye "Scrutinizers" and their seeming inability to check their own slander and leave their prejudices and bigotry at the door.

Web Facilitator,

I skimmed the Scrutinizers in today's Eye. She really hates me; talk about "hypocritical projection"...she sounds like the ADL (see ADL Watch for more info) or something.

Politics is a gas gas gas!

And Sir Arnold doesn't like me because I'm smart and know about the judges' corruption in L.A., etc. I am suspecting that they are supporting Dave because they have something on him? And they can't deal with the stuff I have? This is nothing new.

Then there is the "rent's due" letter at the top of the Rag. The beauty is that KH wouldn't had printed what I wrote if THAT letter wasn't there.

(Web facilitator's note: To the best of my admittedly limited knowledge, Dex is paid up in full at his current location.)

No where did I see explained that candidates under $1,000 didn't need to file this election (rules change). They made such a big deal how that reflects on our abilities.

Yes, Nancy, I am from another planet, and your planet is screwed up big time!

Goes to show, you have to love yourself because laughing seems to attract others' self-hatred.

(Web facilitator's note: Here's some related comments concerning the League of Women Voters debate)

I was the only one who clearly stated no cutting trees for funds re the Arcata Community Forest. I guess I took off on the AEDC while the others wrote to conserve the open spaces etc. Of course i agree so far...

Wondering what happened to the repeats of last Fri's t.v. forum?? I was told APEG played something about Castro, and I only found Jim Lehrer on KEET at those times the Eye announced. As far as APEG goes: this is what I confront all the time regarding what others think of Humboldt County...what I called dialectical polarizition and stupidification. (with honors to ex-Judge Dubrow). The Libertarian Congressional candidate didn't have a clue what Jefferson was about, and Thompson wasn't there to teach us anything either.

Peace and ....Truth (a tall order)!

Dex

Web facilitator's note: This is an excerpt from a different e-mail by Dex to friends...

[Y]ou haven't been "tested" until you watch yourself on t.v. appearing with the other freaks of the circus...in a mainstream studio with all their psychic energies and pressures...listen to your own voice, and laugh at everything as well as cheering what you like and don't like about all the freaks of the circus.

Comes with the dharma, and I like it because I'm more immune coming into this life and the growth is fantastic re self-appreciation and not depending on others, while taking their compliments and approvals while being objective as one can potentially be...and you know, the best compliments can be those who are have tried the psychopolitical doubletalk routines on you and have tested you for what you know...while they play their old games...such as this retired L.A., etc. Judge whose low-profile blend in retirement seems to be threatened by my smiling laugh:

Cometh Judge Dubrow (in an exerpt from the Arcata Eye's Election Scruitinizer's page):

"Arnold Dubrow: In my view, and in brief, all of the candidates, except Anderson, answered the questions responsively and thoughtfully, indicating in the main their individual considered opinions and political persuasions.

Anderson's response lacks focus; is rambling, slanderous, and incoherent; and is apparently driven by an egotistical, maniacal, unreal, conspiratorial, anti-administration bias; thereby demonstrating his utter lack of rational judgment or basic fitness for office. He offers thin gruel with little substance. Simply stated, obviously he is enamored with the exuberance of his own verbosity.

Choosing from among the remaining qualified candidates, I would vote Test for being a tested incumbent, and Meserve to preserve a politically balanced Council."

-Judge Dubrow (not widely known are his profession and sensitive connections, ha!).

(Web facilitator's note: In the interests of full disclosure, it just so happens that Arnold Dubrow sits side by side with David Meserve in a number of partisan interests, including the Boards of the Redwood Peace & Justice Center and the [City Council-appointed] Arcata Nuclear Weapons Free Zone Commission. Hardly an impartial "Scrutinizer.")

Of course if you read my writes I'd say it's the opposite and there is something ADL'esque (see ADL Watch for more info) about his tactics of slander himself...of course it ought to be a major clue 'cept that his profession isn't widely known...

And poor Nancy Barnes...sounds familiar, and oh soo reasonable too. At least I have people smiling at me as they stare, now!

It's all about ego, and how 'bout those upcoming nervous breakdowns re the shifting world paradigm.

Peace, and justice for all, protecting the innocent above all...and that way we shall git the guilty,

Love/Light,

Dex
