Arcata
boasts a rather huge website for City
Hall, here you may find the weighty
tome of ancient, outmoded laws that govern the City.
The
Arcata
Economic Development Corporation doesn't seem to have its
own website (at least we know they didn't spend nearly half a
million in un-accounted for public dollars
on that)...but other contact information is listed.
We
can't seem to find a web site for the Arcata Police Department either,
maybe you could give them a call at 822-2428 or call Chief Randy
Mendoza at 825-2520 directly and gently encourage them towards
greater public disclosure.
While
the Arcata Community
Recycling Center has some willingness to share information,
the same does not seem to hold true for the Arcata Garbage Company
(822-0304) which has no Internet-related presence to speak of.
The
Arcata establishment is not without its votive
critics as well...
...as
its freely
distributed and subscriber-based
newspapers located in town. |

Kerry Iraq Vote |
|
On March 21, 2003, John Kerry voted "that
the Congress expresses the unequivocal support and appreciation
of the Nation to the President for his firm leadership and decisive
action in the conduct of military operations in Iraq."
Kerry has since shown his attitude toward the Iraq war by calling
for more U.S. troops to be recruited or drafted and sent into
the fire. Click here
to read the full text of H. CON. RES. 104, and here
to list all the pro-war, pro-Bush Democrats who expressed their
unequivocal support for the lies and distortions of this
Administration, responsible for nearly 1,000 U.S. and over 11,000
Iraqi deaths. |
